Centura Finds Success at FBLA State

Members of Centura FBLA took part in the State FBLA Conference that was held in Kearney, Nebraska on April 11th, 12th, and 13th. During the members’ three-day stay, they took home many chapter and individual awards. As a chapter, they brought back seven awards including Sweepstakes, Gold Seal Award of Merit, March of Dimes, Feed Nebraska, Go Green, Connect 2 Business, and Seven Up. During the opening session of the conference, those receiving the All-State Quality Member Award were recognized. From Centura, these included Faith McDonald, Alexys Hurt, William Ford, and Haley Hellwege.

Members of the chapter also competed in many events during the conference and showed a lot of success. The Middle-Level members who received a awards were Mason Janda and Ella Simon. Mason Janda earned third place in Middle-Level Digital Citizenship, third in Financial Literacy, and second in Middle-Level Business Etiquette. Ella Simon received an eighth place finish in Middle-Level Business Ethics.

The Chapter also had a lot of success with their high school members. Will Ford received an honorable mention in Business Calculations. Jayden Jacobsen received an honorable mention in Business Calculations. David Hadenfeldt received an honorable mention in Cyber Security and eighth place in Intro to Technology. Haley Hellwege and Brianna Rasmussen received seventh place in Partnership with Business. Faith McDonald and Hope McDonald received third place in Digital Video Production. Hope McDonald received first place in Intro to Public Speaking. Faith McDonald, Hope McDonald, and David Hadenfeldt will represent Centura FBLA this summer in Chicago.
