Colten Seevers, Senior; Jaelyn Gross, Junior; and Faith McDonald, Sophomore; are competing this week at the 2020 FBLA National Virtual Conference Experience. This is Seevers’s second time competing at Nationals, as he and Nick Kortz took their Mobile Application Development Project to Baltimore in 2018. McDonald competed at San Antonio in 2019, with her Broadcast Journalism Project. This is Gross’s first time competing at Nationals, even though she has competed well at State throughout her high school experience. This year’s conference was to be held in Salt Lake City, Utah.

“I’m just thankful FBLA is still holding the conference, even if it is virtual. The students have worked so hard on their projects, and it is great that their high level skills will still be recognized,” stated Mrs. Loeffelholz, Centura FBLA’s Advisor. This year, Seevers and Gross paired up to code and produce a visually appealing mobile application. They brought home 3rd Place honors from the Nebraska State Leadership Conference (held virtually this spring). Also from the state conference, McDonald received 1st Place for her Introduction to Public Speaking Event; a creative piece about how FBLA connects to family, school, and community.
