Next week is Read Across America Week, this week is used to promote literacy. On March 2nd, students are asked to dress as their favorite Dr. Seuss character. At 10:00 there will be an assembly, students that dress up will have a chance to show off their costumes and their will be a winner from the lower pod and the upper pod for most creative costume. At the assembly we will also kick off our One School One Book project. Students will watch the movie trailer and have the 1st chapter read to them. After the assembly the entire elementary will participate in DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time. Older students will read with younger students throughout the building.
We look forward to a fun day and hope that students are willing to dress up and have some fun.
