CCV wins 5-0 over Kearney Catholic and 9-3 over Southern Valley and will play again at 4pm. CCV also wins 12-2 over Cozad and eventually loses 8-9 to Cozad in the District Final! The coaches and team really played well at the right time of the season and brought home the District Runner Up trophy! Great job, CCV!
The District C-6 Softball Tournament has been postponed to Friday (October 5) and Saturday (October 6) AND HAVE BEEN MOVED TO LEXINGTON at the Optimist Softball Complex located on the west side of town. The tournament games times will remain the same.
Centura will host two first-round games of the 2018 Louplatte Conference Volleyball Tournament on Monday, October 8. Arcadia-Loup City will take on Wood River at 6:00 PM. The match between Centura and Ord will follow at 7:00 PM. Hope to see you there to support our Centurions!
Chess club for 2nd-8th grade students will start October 15th. Chess Club is an opportunity for students with no chess ability and for the experienced player. Students will learn how to make chess moves and about the strategy of the game. The first 20 students will be admitted into the club. Chess Club will meet Oct. 15th, Oct. 22nd, Oct. 29th, and Nov. 5th. Please complete the form and return to school. Thank you.

Centura’s FBLA Officers traveled to Nebraska’s Fall Leadership Conference on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, held in Kearney. The leaders were welcomed to the conference by guest speaker, Mr. Bill Cordes. Cordes shared his message of YOGOWYPI, “You Only Get Out What You Put In”. He also shared that it isn’t enough to just be a willing participant. One must be eager also. Cordes stated that, “great jobs go to the eager, not to the willing”. The officers also attended breakout sessions tailored to their specified officer position they hold in Centura’s FBLA Chapter, sessions on leadership, community service, and fundraising.
