FBLA State Leadership Conference Winners
The 2020 FBLA State Leadership Conference (SLC) was cancelled. However, in February before the cancellation occurred, many Centura members submitted projects for competition.
The efforts of the following students were recognized for placing in the top 3% of their competitors.
Jayden Jacobsen and Nick Kortz: 7th Place-Website Design
Jaelyn Gross, Lauryn Bernt, and Faith McDonald: 6th Place-PSA
Amber Baldwin, Elayna Holcomb, and Juan Perez: 6th Place-Financial Business Plan
Taylor Grabowski and Sydney Perez: 6th Place-Partnership with Business
Amber Baldwin, Elayna Holcomb, and Juan Perez: 5th Place-Business Plan
Colten Seevers & Jaelyn Gross: 3rd Place-Mobile App Development
Rhegan Jensen and Sami Garcia: 2nd Place-3D Animation
Faith McDonald: 1st Place-Introduction to Public Speaking.
Colten, Jaelyn, Rhegan, Sami, and Faith are also National Qualifiers. The National Leadership Conference will be held virtually this summer.
Recipients of the All State Quality Member Award for outstanding members were: Lauryn Bernt, Sami Garcia, Taylor Grabowski, Jaelyn Gross, and Rhegan Jensen.
Jaelyn Gross received recognition for attaining the Future Award, Business Award, and Leadership Award. She also was a finalist for the Who’s Who Award.
The Centura Chapter received the Sweepstakes Award, which recognizing the most active chapters in the state.
Per Centura FBLA’s nomination, Cairo’s Pathway Bank was the state’s recipient for large business of the year.
