Central City 8, CCV 0

The Lady Diamonds took on state ranked Central City in the first game at Central City last Thursday and were defeated by Central City 8 to 0.

Pitcher Kilee Ackles had the Diamonds only hit, while pitching a 7 hitter, walking only one and hitting one batter.

CCV 7, St Paul 5

In their second game at Central City last Thursday the Lady Diamond picked up their fifth win of the season with a7 to 5 win over St Paul.

Shelby Behnk was the winning pitcher allowing only 2 hits, while walking 5, hitting one batter and striking out 2.

CCV had 8 hits. Catcher Ragan Wood had 3 singles. Kilee Ackles added two hits, a triple and a single.

Shelby Behnk and Reilly Young each had doubles, with Molly Nitsch having a single.

Lexington 10, CCV 4

Saturday at Cairo, Lexington picked up a 10 to 4 win over Centura/Central Valley.

CCV scored one run in the first inning as Kilee Ackles walked, Shelby Behnk was hit by a pitch. Ackles advanced to third base on a pickoff attempt on Behnk and scored on a ground out by Brylee Barr.

CCV added 2 runs in the third inning as with one out Brylee Barr and Allyson Dugan each singled and scored on a double by Reilly Young.

CCV got their final run in the seventh inning as Kilee Ackles reached base on an error, Shelby Behnk walked, Brylee Barr reached base on a fielder’s choice and Ackles scored on a ground out by Allyson Dugan.

CCV had 6 hits. Shelby Budde had a double, while Kilee Ackles, Brylee Barr, Allyson Dugan, Reilly Young and Samantha Sokol each had singles. Shelby Behnk reached base three times, being hit by a pitch and walking twice.

Kilee Ackles pitched 4 1/3 inning allowing 8 hits, walking 4 and striking out 1. Shelby Behnk pitched the final 2 2/3 innings allowing 1 hit, walking 2, hitting 1 batter and striking out 2.
