The Centura Boosters cordially invite you to Achievement Night 2017 – “Make Your Paradise Your Reality” on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Centura High School.
Meals are $10 each. Please let Laurie McDonald know if you plan to attend. You may send money to school or pay at the door that evening.
The Boosters also invite our Head Coaches and Sponsors to provide a short presentation (2-3 minutes) and to give letters and awards to their student participants during the reading of the script.

Solon Borglum carved huge Native American figures in the Cairo bluffs. Those carvings may have inspired his older brother, John “Gutson” Borglum, to carve Mount Rushmore years later. A historical marker on Highway 2, approximately 5 miles west of Cairo, will be dedicated on Saturday, August 20th at 10:00 am in recognition of the works of the Borglum Brothers.
This marker is the cumulation of a community partnership between the students at Centura Jr./Sr. High School and the town of Cairo for the past school year.
Former Husker defensive end DeMoine Adams will speak to students in grades K-12 at Centura Public Schools on various subjects, weaving the 3R’s of Respect, Resourceful, and Responsibility into his presentation for the staff and students at a Kick-off Assembly on Friday, August 19th.. DeMoine is a motivational speaker connecting with kids of all ages. His high energy messages speak to the heart of each students and are extremely motivating. DeMoine radiates positive energy and emotion throughout the audience.
The K-2 group will hear about choices and building character; grades 3-6 will hear about academic achievement. The junior high students will hear the presentation entitled, “The I in Win”, and grades 9-12 will hear about “Scoring in School” with respect to building good character, grades, and being a positive individual. The times for the presentation are as follows:
- 10:00-10:45 Grades 7 and 8 (The ‘I’ in WIN)
- 11:00-11:45 Grades 9-12 (Scoring in School)

Centura District summer school students took a trip to the Central Nebraska Humane Society today to read to the animals. We were told this is the first time a school http://www.eta-i.org/sildenafil.html group has ever done this!! I believe there was a reporter there, so we’ll have to watch for that. Today was preschool, kindergarten. 5th and 6th.
This year’s Centura Football team community project will be Friday June 18th at 9:00am to lay sod at Village Fitness in Cairo. Make sure EVERYBODY is there and on time!!! It is crucial that the football team supports the community that supports us. This will be the third year in a row that we have completed a project. See you on Friday morning!
