Book Fair Reminder!

REMINDER: The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Centura. Book cases will be open in the elementary library during regular school hours Friday through Wednesday and during Parent-Teacher Conferences (10:00 AM-8:00 PM) on Thursday.  Access our school’s book fair homepage to see the book flyer and find the answers to all your questions. Be sure to check out the eWallet feature HERE. It’s a great way to set a spending limit and pay for your child’s purchase without having to send cash to school. Don’t miss this chance to help support your child’s reading and our school library! Hope to see you there!

The Book Fair is Coming!

It’s that time of year again! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Centura. You can visit the Centura Elementary library Friday, September 20th through Thursday, September 26th for the chance to add to your reading library and help the school build theirs. The Book Fair Is Coming to Centura

Louplatte Conference VB Tourney

Centura will host two first-round games of the 2018 Louplatte Conference Volleyball Tournament on Monday, October 8. Arcadia-Loup City will take on Wood River at 6:00 PM. The match between Centura and Ord will follow at 7:00 PM. Hope to see you there to support our Centurions!

NETA Contest Winners

NETA or the Nebraska Educational Technology Association is an organization of over 5,000 members who share an interest in using technology in the educational process. Every spring, NETA holds contests for all students in Nebraska to show off their abilities in using technology to learn. For the fifth year in a row, Centura Elementary had winners in these contests. This year’s four winning entries were:

The third-place winner in the 3-5 Video Contest was Mason Janda for his “Wonder Unit” project.

The third-place winner in the PK-2 Digital Images Contest was Miyah Lemburg for her “Life of Lincoln” project.

The second-place winner in the PK-2 Video Contest was Miyah Lemburg for her “My Christmas” project.

The second-place winner in the PK-2 Interactive Media Contest was Garrett Bloodgood for his ScratchJr. coding project “A Whole Day of Fun.”
