Congratulations to the Centura boys golf team for their 2nd place finish at districts. As a team they shot a season low 325. As a result, all 5 team members will participate at the state meet on Tuesday May 23rd and Wednesday May 24th at Meadowlark Hills in Kearney. It was a total team effort, led by Hunter Deines’ 6th place finish with a score of 76. Jackson Noakes just missed out on a top ten finish by tying a personal best of 81. Evan Meyer also tied a personal best of 83. Freshmen Ben Noakes came up big for the team by firing an 85. Freshmen Spencer Meyer, was the only team member to birdie the very difficult par-3 17th hole. Good luck at state men!!!!

Mrs. Trumler was surprised on Tuesday morning with a visit from Kent Boughton and the NTV crew. Mr. Boughton was here to present the teacher of the month award to Mrs. Jen Trumler. Mrs. Trumler was nominated by Regan Adams and Ian Zuniga from her 4th grade class. Both students spoke of Mrs. Trumler’s love of her students and how hard she works to make sure the students in her classroom learn. They also wrote about her pets and how they help the students to do a better job in class. We are proud to call Mrs. Trumler our own!!! We are also proud of all the teachers at Centura and excited about the job they do to teach the students of Cairo, Dannebrog, and Boelus.
