Centura Girls Basketball Finish Regular Season 12-9; Now Gear Up For C2-8 Subdistricts

Centura Girls vs. Palmer

Coach Thober commented on the Palmer vs. Centura basketball game indicating, “The girls played pretty well the first half and took control of the game.  The second half the team went through the motions and actually got outscored 17 to 14,  but the girls were able to come away with the win.”  He also reported, “Centura’s defense was pretty sound the entire game and the offense sputtered the last two quarters.”

Centura Girls vs. Arcadia/Loup City

The Arcadia/Loup City Rebels showed up to play the Centurions on their home court.  The Centura Head Coach Coach Thober reported, “Arcadia/Loup City just out played us. Offensively we did a poor job of attacking the basket and settled for shooting 3’s,  which were not falling.”  Coach also said, “Defensively the Centura girls seemed to lack energy and appeared to be going through the motions. The game felt like everyone was in slow motion. I feel bad our seniors didn’t have a better ending on our home court.”
