Girl’s Basketball Split Games Last Week

Centura Girl’s Basketball split games last week against Central City and Adam Central.

Centura traveled to Central City for a match up in the LouPlatte Conference.  This is the first year that the Bison are members of the LouPlatte Conference.  In the game against Central City Coach Thober reported, “The team played very hard in the first half, however they were not able to get their offense clicking.  Luckily, during the second half of the game the girls started shooting the ball well and were able to pull away by making a couple of runs.”

Centura traveled to Adam Central for a non-conference basketball game.  IAt the start of the game, the Centura girls came out with great intensity, finding themselves down by  only 3 at the end of Quarter 1.  The intensity was short lived as the Centurions were unable to match AC’s intensity in the second quarter were the Patriots outscored Centura 17-8.  Coach Thober  recounted that Centura was outplayed and out hustled most of the game.  Coach Thober gave credit to Adam Central as he suggested they played really well.  It is back to work for the girls hoping to improve their play.
