Diamond Softball Area, State Honors Receive

The Centura/Central Valley Diamonds had several softball players receiving state and All-Heartland honors this past weekend.

On Monday the Grand Island Independent named pitcher Kilee Ackles and shortstop Morgan Semm to their All-Heartland team, with Ragan Wood receiving Honorable Mention.

The Omaha World Herald on Sunday named Morgan Semm to their first Class “C” team. Receiving Honorable Mention included Kilee Ackles, Ragan Wood and Ally Dugan.

The Lincoln Journal-Star named Morgan Semm to their Class “C” Second team, while Ragan Wood, Allyson Dugan, Kilee Ackles, Reilly Young, Jasmine Miller and Emma Myers each earned Honorable Mention.

Freshman Morgan Semm hit .552, with 9 home runs, 6 doubles, 3 triples, 32 stolen bases, scored 47 runs and had 28 RBY’s.

Pitcher Kilee Ackles had 12 pitching wins, hit .481, with 39 hits, including 5 doubles and 4 triples, scoring 26 runs with 36 RBI’s.

Catcher Ragan Wood hit .488, with 39 hits, including 8 doubles, 2 triples, scoring 43 runs, with 22 RBI’s. Ragan also had 19 walks.

Ally Dugan hit .318, with w doubles and 1 home run. Adding 20 RBI’s.

Reilly Young hit .277, with 5 home runs and 1 double.   Reilly had 26 RBI’s.

Jasmine Miller hit .338, with 23 hits including 1 double and 1 triple. Jasmine had 11RBI’s.

Emma Myers hit .258, having 17 hits including 2 doubles. Emma had 6 RBI’s scoring 17 runs.
