The Centura football team remained undefeated by routing the Bayard Tigers 46-0 Friday night. The Centurions did most of their damage in the first half by scoring 30 points, with 24 of those coming in the first quarter.
On the night, Centura ran the ball for 566 yards. Kaleb Johnson led the team with 235 yards, Jose Guzman added 206 and Tyler Gates ran for 91 yards respectively.
The Centurion defense led the way by pitching a shutout and holding Bayard to 107 yards of total offense. The defense added two interceptions and a fumble recovery. The defense was led by Kaleb Johnson with 9 total tackles and Heath Hostetler with 7 total tackles.
Centura is currently the #1 offense in class C-2, averaging 431 yards per contest. The defense is also in the top 3 by only giving up 92 yards of offense.
The Centurions look to keep their winning streak going when they play Hershey this coming Friday at Hershey.
