Centura Public Schools Board of Education Hosts Community Engagement

community involvementThe opportunity to listen to community priorities and expectations has been
scheduled for Wednesday, December 16, 2015 by the Centura Board of
Education. The public session will take place at the Boelus Community Center
beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The community discussion will help formulate a vision of the future, and
identify goals and strategies necessary to move the district forward to meet
the challenges of the 21st century. Discussion will be on strengths,
accomplishments, and challenges of the school district, the vision, and
expectations for the schools and the goals and objectives necessary to
design its future.

Specific participants in the Community Engagement have been invited by the
district for two reasons: to ensure that a broad cross-section of
interests, backgrounds and perspectives are included and to ensure that
board members are able to hear from all participants in a purposeful and
efficient manner. Staff members, parents, students, community leaders and
other interested members of the public are also invited to obtain an
effective plan for the future of the district and students. Any patron
wishing to attend the session or to submit written comments to be considered
as part of the process is encouraged to do so. The district must receive
written comments prior to the start of the meeting. The Nebraska Association
of School Boards, Marcia Herring, will facilitate the community engagement
process.

Please contact the school at 308-485-4258, 308-226-2494, or
plemburg@esu10.org if you plan to attend.
